WHO WE ARE

Paulina Montes, President and Director

Paulina Montes is founding President and volunteer of Fundación Manos del Sur. She is the CEO/CFO and is in charge of all administrative, financial and legal matters as well as country manager of Argentina. Previously, she worked as a financial analyst for Alto Parana S.A. in Argentina. She graduated form Universidad Católica Argentina where she earned a degree in Business Administration.

Claudia Batlle, Founding Vice-President and Director

Claudia Batlle is founding Vice President, Director and volunteer of Fundación Manos del Sur. She leads the fundraising programs, events, corporate relationships, and institutional marketing. Previously she worked for Americas Trust Bank as a Fund Manager managing a US$100 million dollars Latin American emerging markets fund. At the time, the fund she managed ranked in the top performers according to the Micropal Emerging Markets Funds Ranking System (Standard & Poor's). Before that, she was Operations and Financial Principal at AIBC Financial Services, a US broker dealer, where she traded U.S. securities and supervised the firm's operational and accounting activities. She graduated with honors from the Florida International University, and is a candidate for a Master in Finance.

Ines Urdaneta, Director, Project Manager, Venezuela

Inés joined Manos del Sur in 2001 as a volunteer. She is Country Project Manager of Venezuela and member of the Board of Directors. She graduated with a degree in Psychology in Universidad Católica de Venezuela and then earned her diploma in Family Counseling in Universidad de Navarra, Spain. After arriving to the United States in 1990, she obtained her Certificate in Journalism and began working at Univision addressing family oriented issues to the Hispanic audience. Today, she works as independent producer and brokerage for Latin American sports television channels.

Andrea Vargas, Director, Project Manager, Chile

Andrea Vargas is also a founder of Manos de Sur and country project Manager of Chile. Previously she worked in the marketing and distribution division of IBM in Santiago, Chile. She graduated from the School of Business Administration and Economics of the Pontífica Universidad Católica de Chile.

Sandra Eugenia Borgonovo, Project Manager El Salvador, Generosity Network

Sandra joined Manos del Sur in 2003 and is also Country Project Manager of El Salvador. Previously, she worked in corporate finance in New York for UBS (then Union Bank of Switzerland) and then consulted for start-up and Internet companies in Miami in until 2002. Now Sandra consults independently in planning and strategy and works for Manos del Sur. She graduated from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, where she earned Masters in International Finance and Economic Development.

Gustavo Maurizio, Director, Information Systems

Gustavo is a volunteer and manages the technical area since 2002. Previously, he was Vice President of Technology and Operations for Telefónica from Spain. With more than 20 years of experience in technical and marketing areas, including companies like IBM and Bellsouth, he currently resides in Miami, Florida. Gustavo received his B.S. in Chemical engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Maria Paz Victoria, Administration

Maria Paz assists in all administrative and operational matters in Manos del Sur. She is an accountant, and previously worked in several accounting firms in Mendoza, Argentina.
