FUNDACION NIÑA MARIA

The Project
This organization, located in Chia, Colombia, provides a home to more than 80 children, ages 2 to 18. Here they receive housing, meals, medical and psychological care, recreational activities and are taken to school until they are adults or adopted by a family.

The Children
These children had been abandoned, abused, exploited and separated from their siblings until they arrived to their "safe heaven", the Niña Maria Home . The institution's main objective is to provide a home for these groups of siblings to grow within a loving family environment. The children attend school, do house chores, play sports and do all activities children their age would do. In this space the children can grow and develop their abilities within an environment of emotional stability while at the same time covering their basic needs.
