The
Children
The children come from extremely poor families who do
not have health insurance or the education to make use
of available medical care therefore lacking early age
preventive health care. Their parents are frequently
unemployed and they live in extremely poor conditions.
The only meals they get are the ones they receive at
the center. |
|
| Accomplishments
A team of specialists evaluated all the children with
special emphasis on their health and nutrition condition
and on the status of their immunizations. We implemented
a nutritional program, updated all the immunizations
and treated all pre existent illnesses. The kitchen
and dining room were outfitted with an industrial range,
a refrigerator, water heater, dishes, pots and pans
and other utensils.
