CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN ART CONTEST

In February 2002, Fundación Manos del Sur launched its second Annual Art Contest among children in the community with the theme “Holidays around the World”. A qualified jury evaluated more than 750 entries and the winning artworks were transformed into greeting cards to benefit extremely poor children in Latin America. Its main objective was to increase the children’s awareness of the needs of other children living in Latin America, and at the same time to provide them with a sense of charity and responsibility. The results of their efforts generated funds of which one hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds directly benefits the children. FOR EACH PACKAGE OF 10 CARDS A CHILD RECEIVES COMPLETE NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE DURING ONE MONTH.
