Sponsoring a child changes many lives and futures forever. The family and community around your sponsored child also benefit from your generosity. Your donation goes a long way and is multiplied many times.
The beautiful bond you form with a child and the satisfaction that comes from improving their life can change your own life. You are given the chance to know the child's name, family, schooling, likes and dislikes. You will also receive a photo of your child and an annual letter and progress report. You can bond with your child even more by writing to them and arranging for a visit.
Your regular contribution helps your sponsored child with basic necessities through our Integrated Assistance Program: medical and dental care, educational assistance, nutritional aid, clothing and shoes and any special need that may arise.
Writing to your sponsored child
Exchanging letters with your sponsored child makes your relationship far more meaningful. Including pictures of yourself and your family allows your child to get to know you even better. Since many sponsored children cannot read English, a volunteer breaks through the barrier of communication and translates your letter for you. Your child receives both the original letter and the translation. Please address letters to your child to our office.
Additional paper products such as bookmarks, postcards and stickers may be inserted. Unfortunately, we are unable to forward bulkier materials such as toys, jewelry or clothing at this time.
Visiting
When planned accordingly, a visit to your sponsored child can be a life-changing experience for you both. Sponsors who have visited their children often rave about how much they enjoyed the experience.
Please contact our Miami office upon confirmation of your travel dates. We will help you arrange a visit with your sponsored child and provide you with all necessary information to help make the most of your visit.
In order to protect all parties involved, unannounced visits are strictly prohibited.
